Each year Tanzania only receives 30% of the blood needed by its hospitals. What will you do if you or someone you know needs blood in an emergency? The Rotaract Clubs of Dar es Salaam are coordinating a blood drive at several locations across Dar es Salaam on December 2nd and 3rd from 8 AM – 6 PM. Please see the flier below for locations.

The goal is to collect 1,500 units of blood to support the children at the Ocean Road Cancer Institute. Additional blood collected will be used by those needing emergency treatments in surrounding hospitals.

Blood collection will be done following international best practices by certified blood collectors from the National Blood Transfusion Services and Muhimbili Hospital - clean, safe practices. Give blood and go into the New Year knowing that you have personally helped to save lives.
